ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Washington County Healthcare Authority, Inc. (WCHA) will accept sealed bids for the purchase and removal of a surplus modular building at its campus located at 14600 St Stephens Ave. Chatom, AL at 9:00 A.M., Monday, December 29, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud at said building location. Bid envelopes must be sealed and clearly marked “BID– MODULAR BUILDING”. Bidders must present their bids in person at the building site at the time of the opening.
Property Description: Modular building – Approx 2,280 Sq Ft (Double Wide). Building currently used as a physicians’ specialty clinic, office & rest room. Building located on the campus of the Washington County Hospital & Nursing Home. Bill of sale to be provided by the Seller at the time of payment and removal of the building. Title to be provided by seller upon completion of the scope of work. Building is Sold AS IS, WHERE IS. WCHA make no representation as to the condition of the building. Purchase Price to be paid in certified funds.
Bidder Submittal: bidders must include with their bid, at a minimum, the following information. Purchase price, legal name of purchaser, building movers name, building movers proof of liability insurance, timeline for removal of the building.
The Seller reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidder Responsibility: Bidder is responsible for the disconnection of all utilities (power, water, sewer, telephone, etc.) from the building. Utility sources must be made safe, capped, isolated and locked as appropriate. Bidder is responsible to determine the road worthiness of the building and accepts all responsibility for taking the necessary measures to facilitate movement of the building, including, but not limited to axles, tires and hitch installation. After removal of the building, site must be barricaded until any hazards are mitigated. Within 2 days of the removal of the building, the site must be cleaned of remaining debris, parts, blocks, skirt, ramps, steps, anchors or any other hazards. Buyer is responsible for all costs and logistics associated with removal and transportation as well as repair of any damage to Sellers property as a result of the scope of work.
Required Date for Removal: Time is of essence in the removal of the building and cleanup of the site. Work shall not commence before December 29, 2025, and must be completed not later than January 5, 2026.
